Greetings from WPI. I am writing to tell you about one of our university’s most exciting traditions
—
the class ring. Designed by students, the official class ring truly captures the unique qualities of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Its graphic features illustrate the heart and soul of a WPI experience: Two Towers on one side representing the balance of theory and practice, and the Goat’s Head on the other side symbolizing the heart of the class rivalry events. Reserved for those students who have achieved junior and senior status, the ring identifies the wearer as an individual who has pursued excellence in all of his or her academic endeavors. You can find a detailed rendering of the ring at http://www.wpi.edu/.

WPI will soon send you a brochure with further details about the ring. I will be presenting the rings to all students who order them at a special ceremony on March 27th, Alden Hall at 5:30 p.m. Family and friends will also be invited to attend this ceremony, which will mark the continuation of WPI's official ring tradition.

At the bookstore, students can view the official rings and be sized for their ring.

|
We encourage your son and daughter to take part in this time-honored tradition.
