the year that Virginia Christian College became Lynchburg College. Both Hopwood Hall and Snidow Chapel are featured on top of the ring as well, along with the school name and founding year, 1903. These symbols are meant to illustrate our strong commitment to both the mind and spirit.
Students wear the ring with the school name facing them. Upon the granting of degrees at Commencement, graduates turn the ring around, with the name facing outward. This symbolizes that the graduate is now ready to face the world. |
